This Privacy Policy explains what information StembookDeals (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit or use stembookdeals.com (the “Site”), how we use that information, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you provide directly. If you join our waitlist by submitting an email address, we store that email along with the time of submission. We do not require or ask for any additional personal information.
• Information collected automatically.When you visit the Site, we record standard request metadata — your browser type and version (user-agent string), the referring website (if any), and the page you requested. We do not use cookies or device fingerprinting for tracking on our own pages.
• Information from analytics providers. We use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate site usage. These analytics do not use cookies and do not track individual users across sessions.

How we use your information

• Send you a one-time welcome email confirming your signup
• Send occasional product updates and a launch announcement (pre-launch waitlist)
• Send price-drop alerts for textbooks you request (after launch, opt-in per textbook)
• Monitor site performance and debug errors
• Respond to your messages if you contact us

We will not sell your email address or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Service providers we use

To operate the Site, we share limited data with the following service providers:

• Vercel— hosts the Site and provides aggregate analytics. Located in the United States.
• Supabase— stores our waitlist database, including your email and signup metadata. Located in the United States.
• Resend— delivers transactional emails (welcome emails, admin notifications, future price alerts). Your email address is transmitted to Resend when we send you mail.
• Cloudflare— provides DNS, CDN, and basic security services. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata.

Affiliate links

Pages on the Site contain affiliate links to third-party retailers (Amazon, eBay, and others — see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you click an affiliate link and visit a retailer’s site, that retailer may set its own cookies on your browser to track the referral for commission attribution. We do not control or access those cookies. Your activity on the retailer’s site is governed by the retailer’s own privacy policy, not this one.

Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

• Unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
• Access your data. Email hello@stembookdeals.comand we’ll send you a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request deletion. Email hello@stembookdeals.comand we’ll delete your record from our database within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

Our service providers (Vercel, Supabase, Resend) are located in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
